The Coast Guard Kollan Foundation (CGKF) was established on December 19, 2012, to provide financial loans and grants to officers and other members of the Bangladesh Coast Guard to address their urgent needs. The primary funding source for the CGKF comes from monthly subscriptions contributed by all members of the Bangladesh Coast Guard, supplemented by a portion of the prize money allocated by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Over the years, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has seen a significant increase in its workforce, leading to a growing demand for financial assistance among its members. Recognizing the need to bolster its financial resources, the CGKF launched a dedicated business entity, the Coast Guard Kollan Foundation Trading Company Ltd. (CGKFTCL). This company was formally registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh (RJSC), on August 24, 2015, under the Companies Act (Act XVIII) of 1994. Since its inception, CGKFTCL has been actively involved in business activities, playing a crucial role in strengthening the CGKF's financial foundation.
